History

The beginnings of the Lilienfeld group in the Chilean insurance market date back to 1942 with the arrival of Mr. Enrique Lilienfeld who entered this industry working for Compañía de Seguros La Transandina S.A.

In 1961 the Lilienfeld Insurance Agency was created and in 1978 Lilienfeld Corredores de Seguros started operations. Lilienfeld has evolved from a family business to be a corporate entity where the members of the Lilienfeld family are shareholders and part of the Board of Directors, but the general administration is made by independent professionals.

Continuing with the development plan, in April 2016 we received the insurance regulator´s (CMF) authorization to operate as Lilienfeld Re, Reinsurance Brokers.

During 2018, a Team of Professionals Specialized in Marine and Related Risks joined the Lilienfeld Re team.
